While using a password to login to your Windows account is great for security, remembering it along will all the other user passwords for the computer can be troublesome and may very well lead to forgetting them. iAidsoft Windows Password Recovery is a password reset application that gives you access to your computer if you are ever locked out. Currently for Windows 2000 through Windows 7, it offers a free to trial demo for you to test its capabilities and a full version that must be purchased. With all of the passwords that have to be created currently, having a way to protect access to your main PC is invaluable.

Though the process is relatively easy, some steps still must be taken for it to work. First, you will need to create a bootable CD, DVD, or USB drive. This is as simple as inserting a blank disk or drive and then using the Windows Password Recovery menu to burn it. Simply choose the type of bootable item being used, and the program will take care of the rest. From there, you will have the necessary means to reset your admin and user passwords should you forget them. Though it may seem scary if you have never accessed your computer from a DOS screen, the reset process is extremely simple and merely requires a few number and letter choices based on questions presented to you. The best part is that you can choose specifically which user password to be reset – you do not need to reset all of them. Complete with full tech support, this program always has your back.

Aside from a minor fee for the full version, this program can scare away users that have not dealt with operating systems outside of the current Windows set up. However, if you are willing to follow the steps presented by iAidsoft, this program is highly effective and not that hard to use, even for the less experienced. By giving yourself a backdoor to your machine should anything happen and the passwords are lost, you are ensuring your investment does not become an incredibly expensive paperweight.
